Land Development

This committee provides an opportunity for ACEC member firms focused on land development work to join forces to identify ways in which ACEC Oregon can better support firms involved in this market. 

The first meeting (March 2024) focused on identifying a clear goal for the committee, appointing a committee chair, and creating a general outline of specific issues in which ACEC may be able to assist, which may include:
  • Training opportunities
  • Networking with other professional land development groups
  • Legal issues/concerns
  • General business practices

City of Portland - Permitting System Restructuring

The City of Portland is undergoing a significant change in government structure this year. Included in this change is a restructuring of the permitting system. Staff from all four infrastructure bureaus will be joining the new permitting agency (to be named this spring). This will result in changes on how the City interacts with its development community and in particular the design professionals that prepare permit drawings for review and approval. Kurt will share information about these significant changes.

Meeting is good for accruing one (1.0) continuing professional development credit.
